Today, November 1st was our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our Howard St. Extension Project (now Rainier St.).
We want to give a big thanks to our Mayor, Deborah Stinson for being our Master of Ceremonies and cutting the ribbon as well as the speakers listed below.

Another thanks goes out to our funding agencies the Transportation Improvement Board (TIB), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and Community Revitalization Board (CERB) as well as the Port Townsend High School Marching Band with Band Director Kim Clarke.
Installation of the street signs, striping and landscape continues out on Howard St.
Half of the roundabout truck apron was completed today, Friday the 4th and the remainder will be poured early next week. They will also continue with installing sidewalk around the roundabout.
The landscapers have started to install the irrigation system and will continue until complete.
Seton Construction, Inc. will continue with the construction of the roundabout on Discovery Road. Pouring of the sidewalks will also continue along with the installation of the irrigation and rain gardens.
Be aware of traffic revisions while driving on Discovery Road. Roundabout construction to start Monday, July 17th. Seton will also continue with installing curbs and sidewalk between Park Ave. and Discovery Rd.
Rainer St. trail has been detoured due to roundabout construction. Please follow detour signs.
Seton Construction will be closed on July 3rd and July 4th so there will be no construction work on those days.
Howard St. & Park Avenue intersection will be re-opened for access to Goodwill and the Business Park by the end of day Friday. Please be aware of elevation changes where utilities are as the final pave has not yet been done.
Starting July 5th Seton will be installing subgrade for the roundabout on Discovery Rd. which will include traffic control. They will also be doing watermain testing and finishing up the Joint Utility Trench on Discovery Rd.
Installation of Sidewalk throughout the project will also continue.
Installation of the storm, water and joint utility trench will be installed in the location of the new roundabout. Seton Construction and the concrete subcontractor will continue with installing the curbs.
